One-Time Consultation (Service Option 1)
When professional assessment and realistic recommendations are needed about health, comfort, and safety, Nebraska Nursing Consultants offers One-Time Consultation. The NNC Registered Nurse meets once with an individual or couple, usually along with family, guardian or trust officer. They discuss concerns; the nurse listens, then informs, advises, and explains options. A written report of the consultation is optional.
Although an in-person consultation works best, a telephone consultation can also be effective.
An Individual, Couple, or Family Arranges a One-Time Consultation to:
- Explore options for a person who seems less safe at home.
- Arrange an in-home safety assessment.
- Compare the options of:
- engaging and evaluating in-home helpers
- relocating to an assisted living or nursing home
- moving to reside near or with family
- Clarify health care options, especially when several physicians are directing care.
- Explore options about least invasive treatment options.
- Prepare for a visit to see a distant relative who may no longer be safe alone at home.
